Our clients had owned their home on Lake Minnewashta for nearly a decade. While they loved their property, they wanted to enhance the exterior presence of their home without making it too imposing or extravagant. After carefully considering the possibilities, we recommended addressing the dreary appearance of the exterior as well as the boxy footprint and the roofline. The design solution included renovating the front entry to create a casual yet impressive presence, building over the existing roof and adding top quality shingles and copper roof elements, as well as new windows, custom brackets, flower boxes and other architectural details. We also built a lakeside porch with operable screens for beautiful views and maximum enjoyment of the lake. As an added bonus, this project was honored with a prestigious Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for innovation, problem solving, aesthetics, craftsmanship and other attributes.
